Starting with this huge mutha, the KLINGON SHIP-OF-DEATH, Tachy will slowly release another of his beautiful klingon masterpieces over the next few weeks, and it will be the KLINGON BIRD-OF-GLORY These meshes are a bit heavy on the memory, but well worth it! |

04th October 2003 : NEW TO STA! RICK "HOBBES" SNIDER gets ROMULAN on yer asses with this amazing design! I`ve always said it - there are just NOT enough ROMULAN meshes and designs out there! Thats why I created the SHALIMAR fighter, becuase everyone gets tired of seeing the same 'ole WARBIRD scenes... well, strap on the plastic, 'cos here is a very welcome addition to the ROMULAN family. The KERCHAN CLASS, a massive ROMULAN behemoth! Lemme tell ya, this beast is sah-weeeeet! She renders up like a dream, but low-memmers beware - she is very hungry on the memory, and may take a while to render. But who cares - this beast is worth the wait! Now, download it and flood the 'net with KERCHAN images! (Unlike most other meshes available here, this one is for 3D STUDIO MAX 4) |

26th September 2003 : STA EXCLUSIVE! Introducing, the first sneak-peak images of this ellusively illustrious beast of legend! Now that I have built her up, I hope the images and backstory behind the vessel's unique design are also to your liking. I`m kinda .... i guess 'peeved' is not the right word, but will do ... with the current state of the STAR TREK Universe. Ever since ENTERPRISE hit the small screens, the whole continuity of trek has been blown to hell, and some of us 'old-timers' (who knew the 'history of trek like backs of our hands) [which we knew WELL, if you get my meaning *wink*] were suddenly forced to re-learn a whole new history! Anyways, that was kinda the final straw for me - so, I thought, "What can I do? What kind of trek series hasn't been done?" TOS set the standards, TNG introduced us to the Federation, DS9 was based on a Space Station, VOY removed the Federation all together, ENT is just making it up as it goes.. *lol*... so what was left? Then I got to thinking - why not remove the entire MILKY WAY GALAXY! Like, VOYAGER on Viagra! Have a federation ship based on extra-galactic technology (plenty of references - the Cetacean Probe for one, Gumptuu [TinMan] for another), then have that vessel propel itself (using gleaned alien technology) into an entirely new GALAXY! Its a completely fresh slate to play with! the only 'anchors' would be the 'trek-standards' relating to the ship itself (dilithium, replicators, transporters, warp etc...) but thats a small price to pay to write a whole universe of possibilities! |
